Representatives of the Union of Professional Football Players in Bosnia and Herzegovina held an official meeting with representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Association, on April 28.
The meeting was constructive, through proposed agenda :
- official cooperation between the Union and FA based on some principles we have to submit in next 20 days;
- the FA Representatives have been revealed about the possibility of signing the Agreement of cooperation between the Union and FA, when we get “full member” status at FIFPro Association;
- one of our proposals was to include one of our representative (lawyer with minimum ten years of experience) in a work of the Commission which decides on the status of players and procedures between the club and the player;
- proposals for amendments to the Regulation on the Registration, Status and Transfer and to the Disciplinary Rules of FA, which we will submit to the FA in next 20 days in writing form.
The details about the meeting will be further discussed at the press conference we plan to do in next week.
We also use this opportunity to say great words about work of Disciplinary Committee of FA,which made some great Decisions in past few days, despite the pressures from the clubs and the players. The mentioned Decisions were made in order to protect the legal and contractual rights of players.
The Union is committed to the struggle for “workers rights” of players and we will not deviate from our attitudes about protecting their rights and status. But this is certainly a step towards for a more honest and fair play cooperation between the parties with a common interests and for more positive and better future of Bosnian football.
