The international FIFPro/HUNS tournament ” Zagreb 2017″ hosted players without contract gathered around the players Unions from Slovenia, Montenegro, Serbia and Croatia.
The tournament, played at Hitrec-Kacian Stadium in Zagreb, was a kind of “showcase” for interested clubs, where spectators could enjoy watching quality matches.
The semi-finals finished with 2:0 for Montenegro team vs. team from Serbia, and team from Croatia was better from the team from Slovenia with the result of 3:0.
In the final match there were no winner in the regular part of the match, so the HUNS players reach the title with the better performance of the penalties against the team from Montenegro.
Team from Serbia got the third place match and left the team from Slovenia without victory.
So, the final result was :
1.place – Team HUNS from Croatia
2.place – Team Montenegro
3.place – Team Nezavisnost from Serbia
4.place – team SPINS from Slovenia
We are looking forward to the next year tournament as we will make that the team of players without contract represented by the Union of Professional Football Players in Bosnia and Herzegovina take a part in it.
