Secretary General, Ms Kanita Pojskic-Cutura, as representative of Union of professional football players in Bosnia and Herzegovina, took a part at two-day legal seminar in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands, in a private strategic meeting organised by FIFPro.
The main subjects of this seminar were : Court of Arbitration for Sports, Chamber for Dispute Resolution, violence and abuse of players in Eastern European Football, chronic problem of players going unpaid for months on end, and of course standard labour contracts to be made mandatory. Presently, this is not the case in countries like Slovenia, Croatia, Romania and the Czech Republic where players are self-employed and have less secure working conditions as a result.
It was a chance for representative of our Union to present the issue of the Bosnian football, and to inform all the present about situation and developments in the Union, our national Football Association and football fields in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
One of the subjects were sports and labor law, their opportunities and risks of implementation in football, and all of this with interactive exchange of experiences of the participants of this legal seminar. It was of great importance for our Union, given the fact that all of present delegation of the Union players in Eastern Europe are long-standing members of FIFPro, with great experience and information essential for our work and activities.
