Yesterday, November 15, at the Hotel Europa in Sarajevo, Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina held a meeting about analyzing current situation in Bosnian football, in terms of the content of the standard contract for professional players in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the system of decision-making in the dispute initiated between players and clubs, and the relations and cooperation between stakeholders.
The meeting was attended by representatives of FA in Bosnia and Herzegovina, UEFA, FIFPro, ECA, EPFL, and representatives of the football clubs in Bosnia and Herzegovina that are members of ECA (FC Sarajevo, FC Zeljeznicar and FC Siroki Brijeg).
At the end of this interactive meeting we adopted a number of conclusions :
- there is good cooperation between clubs and FA on all issues;
- the dialogue will be intensified in the coming period, in order to harmonize the for of contract for professional players in Bosnia and Herzegovina with the minimum requirements of UEFA and European partners, and there will be established the appropriate Working group for it;
- FA of Bosnia and Herzegovina will, in cooperation with UEFA, harmonize all normative acts which are related to this matter;
- and most important conclusion for the Union of Professional Football Players in Bosnia and Herzegovina is the fact that we are recognized as official representatives of all professional players in Bosnia and Herzegovina and as an equal partner of FA and clubs at talks and work on issues related to the status of the players.
Certainly, we have to thank FIFPro that is with us since our founding, in our effort to get this status, and give us great support and help in the process of membership in FIFPro too.
This is a big step for the Union, because without cooperation and proper relations with the clubs and FA, any changes and progress are not possible.
